The 1-meter (3.3-foot) drop test demonstrates their durability, even if they are hit or dropped from a desk or from the waist every day. They have passed the best-in-class drop test of up to 7,000 times, making the Granit scanner ready to be with you in challenging environments. With Honeywell FlexRange™ technology, the Granit XR, XLR models combine close-range scanning. With an extended range that reads UPCs at 5 ft (1.5 m) and 100 mil (2.54 mm) shelf labels at 33 ft (10 m), it’s ideal for warehouse, distribution center, and manufacturing environments. Feedback has shown that the scan window is the highest risk area for damage in industrial environments, so the scanner is designed with a small, deeply recessed scan window that’s scratch and shock resistant.
