AUTOMATED WAREHOUSE’S SYSTEMS (AWS)
It is a technology that develops the warehouse system to be automatic by using digital technology and the Internet of Things. It automatically manages the processes in the warehouse (Warehouse Management), helping to reduce time and costs, increase accuracy and efficiency more than before by using a computer system, Auto ID devices, software and other technologies to work as components of the warehouse management system, such as the process of receiving goods, storing goods, distributing goods and counting goods to be automatic.
Components of Automated Warehouse Systems
The components of Automated Warehouse’s Systems are as follows:
Automated receiving: Using barcode printing technology or RFID to identify incoming goods, and using robots or automatic cars to receive goods. This process may require some human supervision.
Automated storage: Using barcode reading technology or RFID to move goods to automatic storage without human involvement, using robots and software to manage.v
Automated distribution: Using barcode reading technology or RFID to take goods out of the warehouse to automatic product export points, using robots and software to manage as well.
